The Ira C. (pictured above) is a 40 square foot modified lobster boat captained by Robbie Downs. The Ira C. is used by the scientists and REU students at Bigelow to collect physical, chemical, and biological data from sampling stations within the Damariscotta River Estuary and the Gulf of Maine.
