Final Piece (Images)

Before I share some thoughts on how/why we arrived at the final piece we did, I would like to share some images of it to help give readers a more illustrative sense of what I am referring to.

The following were taken during the late day/early evening hours. They were also taken before I made some minor adjustments to the top (the white light housing that everything hangs from). Perhaps unnoticeable to most, in most of these pictures the top piece leans a bit to one side. I slightly adjusted that after taking these photos.

(The glass behind the railing on the 2nd floor balcony creates these wonderful little prismatic projections, one of which my partner caught reflected on my cheek as I was taking a crouching look at the piece) (below)IMG_1937

The next series of photographs were taken at night. The piece dramatically changes as the natural light recedes beyond the horizon and the LED purple light that I installed take ahold of the piece. It’s something completely different from what I had anticipated, and perhaps a completely different piece.
